Is there anything better than coming home after a life-affirming yoga class to a frothy, cold mason jar FULL of green juice? If you’ve never tried it, then let me tell you about it….
There is something magical about taking care of your body, mind, and soul in a yoga class and then keeping the self-care going with a healthy, fresh juice. A green juice is the perfect way to satisfy any hunger you might be feeling after a yoga class. The added bonus is that green juice is not too filling, so instead of feeling stuffed, you feel content and revitalized. It is also extremely hydrating and helps to replenish the nutrients you may have sweated out in class. Lastly, green juice tastes good and is good for you!
Let’s breakdown the superfoods found in our green juice and why we need them.
By adding a whole head of romaine into our green juice, we are getting 1/3 of our daily dose of iron, more than 100% of our vitamin A needs, and 8 g of protein. Romaine is also a good source of folate.
In just one cup of kale, you will find more than 200% of your daily dose of vitamin A, more than 100% of your daily vitamin C, and more than 650% of your vitamin K needs, not bad, eh?
Those are just 2 of the 7 health-boosting ingredients in our green juice! We can’t forget about the eye and liver nourishing spinach, the detoxing and anti-aging celery, the skin rejuvenating cucumbers, the cholesterol lowering apples or the digestive stimulator lemon. With that, let’s drink!
